Raiyah came to us with a piece of jewellery she held incredibly dear: her engagement ring. Though still besotted by its sentimental value and mesmerising gemstones, she felt after many years that the time had come to instil it with a new lease of life. With the help of our master craftsman Theo, we carefully de-assembled the ring and rehomed its sparkly components in two brand new pieces of jewellery; a fresh engagement ring and a cute little jacket ring to wear alongside it.

In celebrating fantastic gemstones already above-ground, this set has been created with minimised environmental impact. What's more, these jewels are extra special because they've had a positive social impact, too. The very existence of Fairtrade Gold jewellery contributes to ensuring that small-scale and artisanal miners around the world are paid fair wages, offering them sustained financial security. Thanks to Fairtrade, the miners also receive money to invest in projects that work towards sustainable futures for their families and their communities, through education, medical care or environmental schemes.
